5 Bible Verses for Anxiety

Sometimes as Christians we can feel guilty when anxiety starts to kick in. Instead of feeling bad about struggling with anxiety we should look towards God and what He says about the things we are experiencing.

Take sometime to mediate on these five verses about anxiety and get your mind in the habit of replacing your thoughts with the word of God.

  1. “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” - Proverbs 12:25

  2. 'When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. ' - Mark 6:34

  3. 'say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” -Isaiah 35:4

  4. 'Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ? - Matthew 6:27

  5. 'Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. -1 Peter 5:7
