Seasons Always Change…

Just like the seasons that happen on earth with winter, spring, summer, and fall. We also can experience different season in our life where things are different at a certain time.

One thing that I learned recently was surrendering to the season.

Previously, I would always try to pray my way out of seasons in my life where I wasn’t happy then I would have this attitude towards God because I thought he didn’t hear my prayers, cared about my tears, or how things where affecting me. However, I understand now that seasons change and instead of hating the season that you are in… surrender to it because God wants to show you something in that very season.

Surrendering means to cease resistance and submit to authority.

Submit to God and all of His ways and let Him reveal to you why you had to go through certain seasons. In this past season I learned a lot myself and I never thought I would be at a place with so much hope and desire to walk into God’s promises. I went for being depressed and hopeless to my soul being restored through Christ Jesus. Enduring the season may hurt and but it’s never in vain.

Joy comes in the morning and I truly believe that now as I went through this past season. God has really taught me maturity and modesty. He had to prune me because I couldn’t walk in the next season of my life repeating the same cycles or with my old mindset. Always remember that God is at work with you but you have to surrender and let our Father do that change within you. Once you see that change, it is such a beautiful thing.

I will leave you with these scriptures until next time.

  1. Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor. ' - Job 11:13-19

  2. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. ‘-Galatians 5:24-25
