A Time For Everything…

Often times we experience things in life that we simply don’t understand.

In our mind we vision things going a different way and we set are hope on that particular thing or the promise that we received from God.

Recently, I was on the hunt for a new job. I applied and interviewed at so many places and was hoping for a few offers. I was looking at this new job opportunity as a breakthrough as I had an interesting experience at my previous employment.

Funny enough, the job opportunity that I was not interested in after the interview process and deemed as a definite no was the only job to give me an offer.

Immediately my insecurities started to come out and I began to get frustrated with God. I questioned why aren’t I good enough, why does what I desire never align with what God has planned for me, and so on. I walked into the placed God took me to with bitterness, I just couldn’t understand.

As time went on with my employment with this company, I met a girl that is navigating her walk with God and is really seeking the Lord. We talked and gave our testimonies and she stated she believes everything happens for a reason and that it was a reason she met me. I only been employed with this company for a little while but I’ve already had moments where I prayed with fellow colleagues and shared my testimony and experience with Christ to others. Daily, I display my faith through my actions and in conversations with others.

When I got the position I cried my eyes out from disappointment but now I understand being with the company served a different purpose. God trusted me to minister to specific individuals and now I understand why I was meant to be there.

We often say Lord let you will be done but sometimes it doesn’t match our timeless or  what you desire but in those moments understand that God is in control and everything serves a purpose. Once, we surrender and trust God’s timing we will receive a different understanding of our current seasons.

If you are going through a season where you are questioning your purpose and lacking understand about timing, take a moment to read Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 because as the title says it’s “A Time For Everything”.
